Natural resources are non-renewable and facing a regular depletion due to their immense use which demands new and additional material's reserves, recycling technologies and materials with no or less bad environmental effects. Reuse of waste materials will be rewarding technically, economically and environmentally. Here, we report the incorporation of industrial ceramic wastes in polymer matrix as composite materials to investigate their potentials for various applications. Ceramic wastes were collected from the premises of ceramic producing industries located at Peshawar (Pakistan). The composites of ceramic particles and polyaniline (PANI) were produced via in-situ free polymerization technique. SEM and FT-IR analysis confirmed composite formation. Thermal, dielectric and mechanical properties of the prepared materials were studied. It was found that both the constituent materials (ceramic and polymer) have a synergistic effect on each other. At one hand, ceramic wastes support and enhance the thermal and mechanical properties of the polymer in composites and the polymer in turn beautify the wastes with good dielectric and electrical properties. Based on their properties, the low cost and environmentally friendly novel composites could be used for various applications such as semi-conductors, capacitors and microwave devices.Surface pre-reacted glass-ionomer (S-PRG) fillers release antibacterial borate and fluoride ions. We fabricated nanoscale S-PRG fillers (S-PRG nanofillers) for antibacterial coating of tooth surfaces and assessed the antibacterial effects of this coating in vitro. In addition, we creating a canine model of periodontitis to evaluate the effectiveness of S-PRG nanofiller application on tooth roots and improvement of periodontal parameters.
Human dentin blocks were coated with S-PRG nanofiller (average particle size 0.48 μm) and then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX), and ion-releasing test. Antibacterial effects of dentin blocks coated with S-PRG nanofiller were examined using bacterial strains, and Next, we created an experimental model of periodontitis in furcation of premolars of beagle dogs. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/msab.html Then, S-PRG nanofiller coating was applied onto exposed tooth root surfaces. Periodontal parameters, gingival index (GI), bleeding on probing (BOP).
S-PRG nanofiller coating provides antibacterial effects to tooth surfaces and improves clinical parameters of periodontitis. The deep assessment of agricultural mechanization inside developing countries could help for local action-taking. This study investigates the use of tractors between the poles of agricultural development (PAD) in Benin Republic. Using a multi-stage random sampling procedure and a questionnaire, 203 tractor users were surveyed in 43 municipalities distributed across the seven PADs of the country. Kruskal-Wallis tests were carried out to compare the different poles of agricultural development based on the mechanization level and tractor performances. Student-Newman-Keuls tests were used to structure the means of these variables. The results show a significant variation (P less then 0.05) of the mechanization level between the PADs. Apart PAD1, all the poles use greater than 60 % manual equipment. Animal-drawn is most implemented in the northern part of the country (PAD1; 2 and 3). The use of tractors is lower over the country, and the PAD2 and PAD3 are the most users. From PAD4 to PAD7, the combination of manual tillage with animal power or tractor is not well represented, indicating manual tillage-based agriculture in these poles. In general, 53.20% of the users do not have a tractor parking and the repair center is quasi-absent (97.54 %). PAD2; 4 and 3 are most disc plow users. Mechanical sowing is more observed in PAD2 and 7 and absent in PAD1; 3 and 4. Moreover, the harvester is present in PAD2; 4; 6, and 7. On average, the highest mechanized area was 134.56 ha from PAD3, whereas, the lowest, 12.00 ha was found in PAD7. PAD7 spends more on plowing (47670 FCFA) than the other poles. The mechanized plowing is most slower in PAD7 (3.53 h/ha) while much faster at the PAD2 (1.96 h/ha). These results could help decision-makers for accurate actions taking to advocate for agricultural mechanization sectors in the country based on the weakness of each pole of agricultural development.Kamchatka geothermal fields should be considered not only as heat and energy resources but also as possible sources of chemical compounds. Boron is one of such chemical elements. The Pauzhetskaya, Nalychevskoe, Pushchinskoe, Kireunskoe steam-hydrothermal fields are the most promising for boron recovery. Data obtained from experimental studies on boric acid sorption using the industrial ion exchangers KU-2-8, AV-17-8, EDE-10P, and AN-31 are presented in this article. The experiments are conducted in a dynamic mode, and the results showed that the method of sequential/consecutive two-stage sorption is most effective for 1 - removal of the main part of cations using KU-2-8 cation exchanger; 2 - boric acid recovery using weakly basic AN-31 anion exchanger. The sorption capacity of the studied anion exchangers increases in the order as follows AV-17-8 less then EDE-10P less then AN-31.Current international policies converge to the need of empowering patients and families in becoming more autonomous in the self-caring and management of their noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). Given their professional scope, nurses are the most well-positioned health professionals to answer this societal challenge. In the literature, health coaching and the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) emerge as two still under-used contributions to nursing practice in this regard. Given the lack of instruments and research developed so far in the use of health coaching and ICTs during nurses training, we aim to develop a scale that explores nursing students' perceptions regarding their coaching skills of people with NCDs and the potential role of ICTs in this domain.
After a comprehensive literature review, an initial items list (n = 39) was delineated and discussed by a panel of international experts. After conceptual and structural consensus, the pre-validated version of the Personal and Technological Skills to coach people with noncommunicable diseases scale (PTSC-NCD scale) was created.
